Addressing the need to be updated on the proper way of evaluating student performance through tests, the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Veterinary Medicine (PRC-BVM) and the Philippine Association of Veterinary Medicine and Educators and Schools (PAVMES) jointly organized a Seminar-Workshop on Competency-Based Test Construction on May 19-20, 2010 at the Conference hall of the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS). The activity facilitated by PRC Consultant, Dr Leticia Azusano and participated by the veterinary deans in the respective institutions offering Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, paved the way for the discussions on issues related to the licensure examination for veterinarians. The PRC-BVM is headed by chairman Dr Tomas Acorda with members, Dr Lina Policarpio and Dr Elizabeth Callanta. Meantime, Dr Daniel C. Ventura, Jr. Southwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine is PAVMES President.
