Cebu Lures Delegates to the Joint 16th FAVA and 78th PVMA Scientific Conference
An atmosphere of hospitality spelled goodwill between Veterinarians and the Province of Cebu during the courtesy call of the PVMA National Officers and Board of Directors to Governor Gwendolyn Garcia at the Cebu Provincial Capitol last July 9, 2010. The meeting was held in preparations for the upcoming Joint 16th FAVA and 78th PVMA Convention that will be held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on February 16 to 18, 2011. The event is expected to draw 1,500 local and 300 foreign delegates.
Primarily, Cebu is regarded as one of the country’s prime business centers. In addition, the rich cultural heritage of the province promises unique experience to foreign and local delegates. Among the major attractions in the province are the Suroy-Suroy festival and the dancing inmates of the Cebu Penitentiary.
The various activities will be organized through the collaborated efforts of the FAVA Congress 2011 officers chaired by Dr. James Michael Cheng who is also incoming FAVA President, the PVMA National Officers and Board of Directors through its President Dr. Rustan Patacsil, the PVMA Central Visayas Chapter headed by Dr. Odysseus Camarillo, and with the cooperation of the Provincial Veterinary Office headed by Dr. Mary Rose B.
